Obituary: Howard W. Wilder

Howard W. Wilder, 67, of Lewisburg, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, at NHC Lewisburg.

A native of Rose Hill, Va., Mr. Wilder was a son of the late Lester and Almira Daniel Wilder. He was a retired steelworker and a member of Westvue Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilder was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Martin Wilder; a son, James Terry Wilder; and a daughter, Sharon Wilder.

He is survived by a daughter, Betty Ann Wilder of Columbia; three sisters, Rose Skillern of Lewisburg, and Laura Schwartz and Betty Byars, both of Dallas, Ga.; and a brother, Tommy Martin of Chapel Hill.

In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Wilder was cremated.

A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Westvue Church of Christ in Lewisburg with Rick Rolin officiating.

Lawrence Funeral Home and Cremation Services was in charge of arrangements.
