Ruth Eady, 80, of Estill Springs, formerly of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, in Nashville.
Mrs. Eady was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Josephine Wilson Davis. She retired after 24 years as a registered nurse. After retiring, she worked another 35 years as an auditor at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg. Mrs. Eady was a member of Harris Chapel United Methodist Church in Estill Springs and was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Davis.
Mrs. Eady is survived by her husband, Ralph Eady of Estill Springs; son, Charles M. Ealy Jr. of Winchester; daughters, Patricia Brothers of Okeechobee, Fla., Helen Brasfield of Lynnville, and Sherri Adams and Jo Ann Corbin, both of Lewisburg; sister-in-law, Bobbie Davis of Murfreesboro; nephew, Jimmy Davis of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Dec. 30, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Ledbetter officiating, followed by burial in Swanson Cemetery, Chapel Hill.
Billy Eady, Ronnie Eady, Jackie King, Steve Young, Jason Young, Jimmy Davis and Randy Gambill served as pallbearers.
