GM employee dies in motorcycle crash

A Lewisburg man died Friday as a result of a motorcycle crash in Maury County on the Nashville Highway near the Marshall County line.
Arnold E. "Arnie" Woodhams Jr., 53, was transported by helicopter ambulance to Vanderbilt University Hospital where he died, according to authorities.
Woodhams was riding his motorcycle at about noon Friday, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported. The bike left the road in a curve and went down an embankment.
Born in St. Johns, Mich., Woodhams was a General Motors Assembly employee and a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where a memorial service was conducted at 6 p.m. Monday. Mr. Woodham's body will be cremated. In addition to his mother, Betty Cleland Woodhams, he is survived by his wife, Renee Towne Woodhams of Lewisburg, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
