Pauline Ghee Beasley, 95, of Chapel Hill, died Sunday morning, Jan. 16, 2011.
Mrs. Beasley was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Will and Mattie Eady Ghee. She was a loving wife and mother, and alongside her husband, Sam, worked the family farm in Marshall and Bedford counties. Mrs. Beasley was a long-time member of the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Beasley, who died in 1997, and by two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by a brother, Aubrey (Marjorie) Ghee of Holts Corner; four daughters, Juanita (Ron) Adcock of the Hickory Hill Community of Bedford County, Mary (Haskell) Greer of McMinnville, Shirley (Harry) Layne of Chapel Hill, and Sandy Beasley of Chapel Hill; seven grandchildren, Ron (Brenda) Adcock Jr. of Franklin, Randy (Tammy) Adcock of the Hickory Hill Community, Renee (Troy) Yoes of Shelbyville, Sara (Josh) Greer Dodson of McMinnville, Dereck (Tracy) Layne of Chapel Hill, Allison (Derrick) Layne Martin of Shelbyville, and Lesley (Matt) Layne Wilson of Shelbyville; seven great-grandchildren, Kayla Adcock, Taylor Adcock, Eva Joy Adcock, Trace Adcock, Ashlyn Yoes, Brooklyn Yoes, and Mason Layne.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Jan. 20, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby McGee officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Grandchildren served as pallbearers.
