The LMS Tigers did it again!

Coach David Lovell's squad is now just two games away from their third straight title after blowing out Charlotte Middle School 56-24 Monday in the 1st round of TMSAA Sectional Tournament at E.O. Coffman Middle School in Lawrenceburg.

Chris Walker led the way with 17 points for LMS, who take on the home Coffman squad Thursday night at 5:15 p.m. in the semifinals.

The two-time defending champion Lewisburg Middle School Tigers are on the verge of making a huge mark in the history books of the Tennessee Middle School Athletic Association (TMSAA) as they compete in the Middle Tennessee Small School Sectional Tournament this week at E.O. Coffman Middle School in Lawrenceburg.

After besting Bridgeforth 35-32 Saturday night in the Area 2 Tournament championship game, the 15-3 Tigers open up sectional play Monday night versus Charlotte Middle School out of Dickson at 5:15 pm.

Eighth grader Chris Walker, who was named 2010 Mr. Basketball at LMS in December, continued his dominance on the hardcourt, scoring 13 points versus Bridgeforth to secure the third straight Area title for head coach David Lovell's squad.

With his effort, Walker was named Area Tournament MVP and was joined on the All-Tournament team by Tiger teammates Kacy Pleas, Darius McKenzie, and Connor Bush.
