Jerry Wayne King, 63, of Columbia, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
A native of Marshall County, Mr. King was a son of the late Andrew and Ethel King. He was a retired roofer. Jerry's life revolved around his love and passion for the sport of coon hunting.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Joyce King, Brenda King and Lucille Alexander.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. King of Columbia; three sons, James Oscar King of Columbia, Wayne Foster of Murfreesboro and Mike Foster of Lewisburg; three sisters, Cheryl Redd of Columbia, Wanda Conn of Lewisburg and Josephine Floyd of Lewisburg; three brothers, Carroll King, Kenneth King and Andy King, all of Lewisburg; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services scheduled. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. King will be cremated.
Lawrence Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
