Mildred Tennison Rich went home to be with her Lord early Wednesday morning, Jan. 26, 2011.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Rich, and her parents, Sam and Hazel Tennison.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Lou Ann Cardwell and Betty Stewart; their husbands, Bob Cardwell and Tom Stewart; her sister, Myrta V. Perry; her four grandchildren who she loved dearly, Tom Cardwell, Jean Ann Cardwell, Andy Stewart and Gena Stewart; and a host of nieces, nephews and very good friends she made during her lifetime on this earth.
While Mildred's life was filled with active involvement in her church home, First Baptist Church, and various community activities, the real measure of her life was her one-on-one touch of kindness and love she gave to the countless people she came in contact with during her 79 years of life. She simply loved Jesus, people and life.
Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Friday Feb. 4, at First Baptist Church with Danny Georges officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 until 5:30 p.m. Friday prior to the funeral services.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or Lakeway Young Life.
