Obituary: Jimmy Wayne Purdom

Jimmy Wayne Purdom, 71, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, in NHC Lewisburg.

Mr. Purdom was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Jessie Herman and Eula Lee Dockery Purdom. He was a retired machinist with Cosmolab for 43 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Elizabeth Collins Purdom of Lewisburg; two daughters, Malinda (Gerald) Pollock of Lewisburg and Patty (Frank) Ulrich of Panama City, Fla.; two sons, Ricky (Cheryl) Purdom of Knoxville and Phillip Purdom of Lewisburg; three sisters, Jessie Lee Gipson, Jessie Marie Hargrove, and Mary Ann Linsyer, all of Lewisburg; and two brothers, Ronnie Purdom of Shelbyville and Jessie Herman Purdom of Knoxville; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Thursday, Feb. 3, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
