Marvolyn Ann Liggett, 80, of Smyrna, formerly of Lewisburg, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
A native of Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Marvin Pruitt and Maggie Shaw Pruitt. She was a former employee of Heil Quaker Corporation as an office manager and was a member of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Liggett was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Richie Dean Patterson.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert Ellis Liggett of Smyrna; one daughter, Deborah Liggett Mealer of Murfreesboro; one son, Ray Liggett of Nashville; three grandchildren, Amanda Peck, Rebecca Smeltzer, and Jeremy Mealer; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Liggett were conducted on Tuesday, Feb. 8, from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery with Jeff Eason officiating.
