Obituary: Nancy Jewell Leverette

Nancy Jewell Leverette, 74, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, in Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Mrs. Leverette was a native of Giles County, and daughter of the late Ben and Myrtle Lewis Luna. She was retired from Sanford Corporation and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Rippy Leverette; sister, Elizabeth Richardson; and two brothers, Thomas Luna and B.M. Luna.

She is survived by her husband, John Marvin Leverette of Chapel Hill; son, Randale Leverette of Chapel Hill; daughter, Sherry Leverette of Lewisburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, from the chapel of London Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
