Alma Newcomb Rummage, 80, of Wartrace, formerly of Murfreesboro, died Sunday evening, Feb. 20, 2011, in Murfreesboro.
Mrs. Rummage was born in Williamson County and was a daughter of the late Robert and Opal Vaughn Newcomb. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Rummage was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Rummage; her twin sister, Alta Emma Laura Chumbley; her brother, Aaron Leon Newcomb; and two grandchildren.
Mrs. Rummage is survived by her daughters, Lavergne (Avery) Hittson of Wartrace, Valrie (W.B.) Stacey of Beech Grove, and Audrey Love (Leon Meeks) of Beech Grove; sons, Ricky (Marsha) Love of Murfreesboro, Clifford (Rosa) Love of La Vergne, and Tony (Sandy) Rummage of Hermitage; sisters, Jean Bosserman of York, Pa., Lorene Ledbetter of Austell, Ga., Estelle (Jim) Henderson of Winchester, Eva Barron of Lewisburg, Catherine (Herb) Stone of Nashville, and Barbara Sandridge of Winchester; brother, Bill (Linda) Newcomb of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Chaplin Bob Bush officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery.
