Clyde R. Dunnavant, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Heritage Medical Center,
Mr. Dunnavant was a native of Giles County, the son of the late David and Ozell Tatum Dunnavant. He was a retired machine operator for Sanford Pencil Company.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Dunnavant; son, Danny Dunnavant; and brothers, John and Bill Dunnavant.
Survivors include his sons, Douglas Richard Dunnavant of Bonlee, N.C., and Mark Anthony Dunnavant and Tommy Lee Dunnavant, both of Shelbyville; brothers and sister, Maylon, James, and Helen; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in the chapel of the Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Pastor James Warren officiating. Burial will follow in New Grove Cemetery.
