The Marshall County Girl Scouts will continue their cookie sales Friday, Feb. 25, through Sunday, Feb. 27, with booth locations in Lewisburg and Cornersville. The Marshall County Memorial Library, the South Central Human Resource Agency, and the Internal Revenue Service offer free tax preparation for individuals whose yearly income is under $49,000. The Marshall County Retired Teachers Association is offering $1,000 scholarships to students graduating from high school and planning a teaching career. They are also offering $1,000 scholarships to college juniors and seniors who commit to entering the teaching profession. Applications are available at the high school guidance offices; deadline is April 15.

Feb. 25

The Grief Support Group will have a potluck meeting at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Westvue Church of Christ, Lewisburg. Tom Holland will be the speaker.

Forrest High School Baseball Team is hosting a chili supper from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in the school cafeteria. To-go orders will also be available.
