A Hunter Safety Course will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. March 14, 15, 17 and 18, at Cornersville First Baptist Church. The test will be Saturday morning, March 19. For more information, call Doug Lowery at 659-6786. Children must be turning 10 this year to attend. Anyone born in 1969 or later needs to pass a hunter safety course in order to hunt anywhere in the state except on their own land.

Mowing will begin March 25 at Sunset Park Cemetery. It is requested that all figurines and flowers (except for those in vases) be removed before mowing begins. Those not removed will be discarded. Call 359-2521 if you have any questions.

Junior Auxiliary of Lewisburg is now collecting baby items for In His Image Pregnancy Resource Center. JAL drop-off boxes are located around town for diapers, lotions, powders, diaper bags, etc. Items will also be collected on Saturday, March 19, at the Center. Large items such as car seats, baby beds and high chairs should be dropped off then. All baby items are welcome.

The Marshall County Soil Conservation District will be holding its annual tree giveaway again this spring. They will have Loblolly Pine, Bald Cypress, and Northern Red Oak trees available. If you are interested in receiving free trees, please contact the District at 359-6268 Ext. 3.

The Chapel Hill Church of Christ will host its annual Ladies' Day on Saturday, March 12. The theme for the day is "The Purse Driven Life" with guest speaker Teddy Copeland. Breakfast and registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The Marshall County Chamber of Commerce and the Marshall County Joint Economic and Community Development Board are hosting small business counseling sessions at the Chamber of Commerce on Monday and Tuesday, March 21-22. Jamari Brown, Middle Tennessee Enterprise Specialist from the Business Enterprise Resource Office (BERO) will meet with businesses and future businesses. The small business counseling sessions provide business owners with resources to help grow and sustain their business, work with the government, learn about financing opportunities and more.
