Obituary: John Emmitt Gowan

John Emmitt Gowan, 68, of Lewisburg, formerly of Popular Bluff, Mo., passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 13, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Donna-Kay Gowan; four daughters, Susie Beshears of Popular Bluff, Mo., Elizabeth Lester and Brooks Cozart, both of Lewisburg, and Blair Everett of Summitt, Miss.; three sons, Greg and Keith Calhoun, both of Popular Bluff, Mo. and Blake Everett of Murfreesboro; and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Lone Oak Cemetery, Lewisburg.

Anderson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
