C.W. Mulliniks, Jr., 88, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 in NHC Healthcare.
Mr. Mulliniks was a native of Davidson County, and son of the late C.W. Mulliniks Sr. and Mildred Kelley Mulliniks Bond. He moved to the Brick Church Community when he was 14 years old. He attended Cornersville School where he was an outstanding football player. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed as an industrial engineer with Florence Stove Manufacturing and Heil Quaker Corporation, and retired from Amana Corporation in 1981. His favorite pastime was singing and playing music with the Boys Down the Road band. He was a member of the Church Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Louise Moore Mulliniks of Lewisburg; two sons, Terry (Annette) Mulliniks of Smyrna and Joe (Linda) Mulliniks of Talley Station; daughter, Vara Stiles of Scottsboro, Ala.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sadie Mulliniks Davidson of Smyrna.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, March 17, from the chapel of London Funeral Home with burial to follow in Medium Cemetery at Delina with military honors.
