Ruth Davidson Foster, 85, of Culleoka, died Friday, April 8, 2011, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Bruce Davidson and Mary Sharp Davidson. On July 10, 1954, she married Kenneth Davis Foster who preceded her in death on June 25, 2001. Mrs. Foster was a former saleslady at Sears in Lewisburg and Columbia and later retired from Downey & Jones Jewelers in Lewisburg. She was an excellent cook and gardener and enjoyed crocheting. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth W. (Sharon) Foster of Lewisburg; two granddaughters, Ashley Foster (Parish) Phelps of Columbia and Tara Foster (Josh) Dockery of Lewisburg; four great-grandchildren, Mason Dockery of Lewisburg, and Anna Arnett, Kanvas Phelps, and Karysma Phelps, all of Columbia; one sister, Mildred (Jack) Craig of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
A graveside service was conducted Monday, April 11, at Friendship Cemetery with Rev. Clark Albright officiating. The pallbearers were Parish Phelps, Josh Dockery, J. T. Williams, Jimmy Mathis, Jesse Hill, and Jimbo Mathis.
