Obituary: Vivian Houk Clift

Vivian Houk Clift, 88, of Cornersville, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, in NHC Lewisburg.

Ms. Clift was a native of Marshall County, and daughter of the late Erskine Davis and Lula Richardson Houk. She was retired from First National Bank of Lewisburg (Bank of America) as senior vice president after 47 years of service. Ms. Clift was a Civil Service employee in the transportation department at Camp Forrest in Tullahoma during World War II. She was a member of the Cornersville Church of Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Marilu Clift of Cornersville; brother, William (Dolly) Houk of Gainesville, Fla,; sister, Carolyn B. Hawkins of Lewisburg; cousins; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted by Don Hudson on Wednesday, May 18, from Cornersville Church of Christ, followed by burial in Beechwood Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Tripp Womble, Phil Womble, Nick Arnold, Davey Clift, Reed Houk, Jody McMahon, and Gary Warf.
