The only word for the weather today is "HOT."
Don't you just love new babies? I have a couple of newborns to introduce. Of course, I'm little behind, so lucky for me, they're still babies.
Chase and Lisa Hunter, of Culleoka, are proud to announce the birth of their second son, Nathan Robin Hunter. Nathan was born March 28, 2011, weighing in at 7 lb. 9 oz. and measuring 20 1/2 inches tall. Excited grandparents include Rita McCone of Chapel Hill and the late Kitt Robin McCone (who Nathan was named after) and Jimmy Hunter and Peggy Hunter, of Lewisburg. Nathan also has a sweet great grandmother, Roberta Owens, of Chapel Hill. Big brother John Grant, who is 2 1/2 years old, loves his new brother and can't wait for him to grow and become his best friend and playmate. Nathan Robin, you are so blessed to be born into such a wonderful loving family. Congratulations everyone.
Rebecca Knight, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Chapel Hill, is proud to announce the birth of her daughter, Jayden Marie Averitt, born May 11, 2011. Jayden came into the world weighing a petite 7 pounds and measuring 19 1/2 inches. Her grandmother, Linda Knight, is well known and loved by her friends in Chapel Hill. Her uncle, Daniel Kinght, also of Chapel Hill, is sharing in the excitement as well. Congratulations.
Father's Day is June 19. Ladies, we had a great Mother's Day last month, so now it's our turn to show these fathers how wonderful they are and how much we love them. In other words, you have about a week to get your shopping done.
The Chapel Hill Lions SuperPull of the South is coming up sooner than you think - July 22-23 - six weeks from now. Where does the time go? I could have sworn the tractor pull was just last week. Anyway, be making plans for the biggest weekend in Chapel Hill. And remember, the proceeds from this event go right back into our community, so we really need to support the Chapel Hill Lions Club and the Tractor Pull.
Have a wonderful week and STAY COOL.
