Mildred Porterfield Dalton, 82, of Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at her residence, 2491 Old Farmington Road.
Mrs. Dalton was a native of Giles County and a homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Porterfield and Emma Savage Porterfield and a member of First Baptist Church of Lewisburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Dalton, a grandson, Virgil Dalton, and one sister, Carlette Porterfield.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Cordie Dalton of Lewisburg; two daughters, Emily Barnes and Becky Jackson, both of Lewisburg; and three sons, Paul Dalton Sr. of Cornersville, Phillip Dalton of Lewisburg, and Kerry Dalton of Petersburg.
Also surviving are two brothers, David and Bobby Porterfield of Indiana; one sister, Ann Hill of Bowling Green, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dalton will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Tom Dumser and Paul Woodford officiating. Burial will take place at Temple Cemetery at Farmington.
Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service at the church.
