Thefts and vandalism reported

* Between 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. June 13 someone entered a home on Smiley Road, Chapel Hill, and took $1,320 cash and items worth a total of $8,050. They also did $400-worth of damage to the interior of the front door, probably as they took something out of the house. The stolen items included: a tan couch and ottoman, a 50-inch LG flatscreen TV, a Wii and 20 games, a Playstation 3 and 20 games, a black and glass TV stand, a Sony Cyber-Shot 14.1 mp, and a Canon digital camera.

* Between 8:30 p.m. June 13 and 5:15 a.m. June 14, someone stole a dark green 2002 Chevy Z71 step-side pickup, valued at $9,000, from the driveway of a home on Fayetteville Highway, Belfast. The truck was found on June 15, parked behind a gas station.

* A yellow 1997 Suzuki RM 125 ATV, valued at $1,800, was taken from Darrell's ATV on May 31 when the fence was cut, but Darrell did not notice it was missing until he went to work on it on June 7.

* Someone took a deer stand ladder, an Amana refrigerator, an aluminum lock-on, two aluminum climbing sticks, and a seven-foot metal cabinet, worth a total of $1,078, from a vacant home on Polly Adams Road and also took a 16- by 12-foot garage door, worth $700, from a shed on the property.

* Between 5 p.m. June 12 and 7 a.m. June 13, someone spray painted a swastika on the outside bathroom wall near the Exploration Station at the Rec Center and also spray painted a sign at hole number one on the golf course. If the sign has to be replaced, it will cost $850.

* An employee of S&D Wholesale had her purse taken from the storeroom where it was left while she was working. The Juicy Couture purse was worth $200 and contained a Samsung digital camera ($162) and Guess prescription sunglasses ($200).

* One tire of a car parked at the owner's home on Davis Street was slashed sometime between June 11 and 13. Owner estimates the cost of a replacement at $150.

* A 20-inch boy's Wipe Out bike made by Next and valued at $100 was stolen from the yard of a home on Hickory Avenue during the night of June 8-9.

* A jar of change was emptied, and some old coins, a gold necklace with a gold heart, 65 hydrocodone and 40 alprazolam tablets were taken from a home on Beard Lane after the back door was forced open while the owners were away. The owner was unable to state the value of the missing items.

* Michelle M. Barge, 24, Spring Place Road. Bond: $7,000; court date: July 19. Charges: sale of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, and drug paraphernalia.

* Anthony McMillan, 20, South Ellington Parkway. Bond: $6,000; court date: July 12. Charge: sale of marijuana.
