The Future Stars Game is the premiere all-star football game for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders as hundreds of players throughout the Volunteer State try out to represent Tennessee in the Future Stars Game.
Along with Tennessee, teams from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina participated in the event.
After making the elite team coached by Maryville Middle School coach Jay Malone, Williams wowed the coaches running a 4.74 40-yard dash at the tryout combine.
The Tennessee squad with Williams playing strong side linebacker and donning the number 49 jersey, took on Kentucky this past weekend at Carson-Newman in a game won by the Tennessee 7th grade team in a thrilling 26-25 overtime win.
The Tennessee 8th grade team coached by former Vol and San Francisco 49'er Todd Kelly also won 41-6.
The rosters were based off the current 2010-11 school year.
