All five of Nichirin's runs off Gordon were unearned and all came in the bottom of the third inning on two MMC errors, one hit batsman, two bases on balls, a wild pitch and a passed ball.
In the meantime, Gordon received plenty of offensive support from his MMC teammates as they banged out a dozen hits in the ballgame and led from start to finish.
Whitesell knock in three runs, scored twice, walked once and stole a base in the offensive onslaught.
