Marshall County Schools will register new and transfer students from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21.
Students who are transferring from Lewisburg to Cornersville or Chapel Hill, or the opposite, will also need to register.
Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2011, in order to attend kindergarten during the 2011-2012 school year.
Kindergarten through 6th grade students who will attend a Lewisburg school will register at the Central Office, 700 Jones Circle, Lewisburg.
All others will register at their respective schools:
Lewisburg
* 7-8, Lewisburg Middle School;
* 9-12, Marshall County High School;
Chapel Hill
* K-5, Chapel Hill Elementary;
* 6-12, Forrest School;
Cornersville
* K-6, Cornersville Elementary;
* 7-12, Cornersville School.
Questions will be answered when the Central Office is called during business hours at 359-1581, otherwise call the school.
The following paperwork should be brought for registration: Proof of Marshall County residency; and, names and addresses of previous schools attended.
New students, those who have never been enrolled in a Tennessee school system, must also bring: Immunization records, and there are new requirements this year; An official copy of the child's birth certificate, not a mother's copy; The child's social security card; And, documentation of a current physical examination.
