Head coach Brent Johns and the Marshall County High School golf team travelled to Fayetteville Golf & Country Club on Tuesday to take on Lincoln County in the first scholastic sporting event of the new school year, but fell short by ten shots in a 176-166 loss. Low medalist for the event was Lincoln County's Tyler Sloane, who shot a smooth four over par 39 at the scenic nine-hole 2,808 yard course. Low man for the Tigers was Justin Killian (above) with a 41, followed by Brooks Leftwich's 42, Miller Sale ended up with a 43, and Ryan McDaniel, Carson Hill, and Ben Briggs all signed their cards with 50 strokes. Marshall County will be back in action Wednesday versus Cornersville at the Lewisburg Rec Center at 11:00 a.m. for the "Its Time Tournament."
