The Marshall County Historical Society will hold its quarterly meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, in the Museum at the Hardison Office Annex, 230 College St, Lewisburg. George F. McCanless Jr. will present the story of Jake Donelson, the red rooster mascot of Company H, Third Tennessee Regiment, Confederate States of America. The meeting is free and open to the public.
