Aubrey Ghee, 84, of the Holts Corner Community of Marshall County, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, in Lewisburg.
Mr. Ghee was born in Marshall County, and was a son of the late John Willie and Mattie Belle Eady Ghee. He was a retired master carpenter having worked with Lamb & Manier and Maxwell & Sledge construction companies. Mr. Ghee was the oldest member of Owen Hill Masonic Lodge #172 having been a member for 56 years. He was also a life-long member of Promise United Methodist Church in the Holts Corner Community.
Mr. Ghee was preceded in death by four brothers, Grady Ghee, Marvin Ghee, Bill Ghee and Fred Ghee, and by three sisters, Alma Lamb, Pauline Beasley and Edna Blanton.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Rigsby Ghee; two daughters, Vickie (Ron) Stinson and Dr. Vivian Ghee Hall, all of the Holts Corner Community; grandchildren, Joshua David Hall, Ian Sean Stinson, Jedidia Caleb Hall, and LaDonna Lynn Stinson; and many generations of nieces and nephews.
Masonic rites were conducted Saturday, Aug. 13, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Aug. 14, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Grooms officiating. Burial followed in Cothran Cemetery in Bedford County.
