Emogene Campbell, 87, of Lewisburg, formerly of Charleston, W.Va., died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, in NHC Oakwood Healthcare.
Mrs. Campbell was a native of Marion County, Ohio, and daughter of the late Harry Clay and Gladys Helen Turner Long. She was the co-owner of the Campbell's Furniture Store in Charleston, W.Va. She was a member of the Bethany Freewill Baptist Church in Charleston.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norvel A. Campbell; two sons, Robert E. Campbell and James Paul Campbell; sister, Edith Long Mitchell; and brother, Charles "Paul" Long.
She is survived by five daughters, Marilyn (Dallas) Victory of Lewisburg, Marsha (Mervin) Hall and Lisa Snuffer, both of Swansea, S.C., Virginia (Ray) Miller of Charleston, W.Va., and Judith Hebert of Ely, Nev.; daughter-in-law, Reba Campbell of Sissonville, W.Va.; two sons, Norvel S. Campbell of Swansea, S.C. and Jerry R. Campbell of Charleston, W.Va.; two sisters, Martha Blazer of Lancaster, Ohio, and Katherine Wickline of Lorraine, Ohio; brother, Earl W. Long of Pueblo, Colo.; sister-in-law, Colleen Ball Riley of Charleston, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Cunningham, Parker, & Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Vinton Memorial Cemetery in Vinton, Ohio.
The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. for visitation. Cunningham, Parker, & Johnson Funeral Home is in charge of the services and visitation in Charleston.
