Helen Molder, 86, of Chapel Hill, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, in Columbia. Miss Molder was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Arthur Horace and Edith Wortham Molder. She worked for 53 years in the pencil industry and retired from Sanford Corporation of Lewisburg, her last employer. Miss Molder was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Miss Molder was preceded in death by three sisters - Dorothy Darnell, Edna Mae Fagan, and Nelda Cook - and by a brother, Claude Molder.
Miss Molder is survived by a sister, Duane (Aaron) Haskins of Bell Buckle; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Family members will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Ledbetter officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery, Chapel Hill.
