Friday, August 19, 2011

Admission will be free Wednesday, Aug. 24, at the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders' and Exhibitors' Association National Futurity, due to start at 5:30 p.m. at the Calsonic Arena on the Celebration grounds in Shelbyville. The futurity will feature a special exhibition by 2002 World Grand Champion Out On Parole.

The richest one-night show in the industry, the National Futurity is the premier showcase for Tennessee Walking Horse breeders and their stock. This year's edition is sure to please as both nominations and the total prize money awarded are up over last year. The theme for this year's show is "WAY! - We Appreciate You!" and special efforts are underway to make it a red carpet experience for each and every participant and spectator.TWHBEA stated that it took current economic conditions into account when making the decision to waive spectator admission charges to the 2011 National Futurity in an effort to give back to the Tennessee Walking Horse industry and the community at large.
