The Rockets jumped out fast, just moments into the contest on two plays, beginning with great field position from the Community 21-yard line.
Forrest all-state running back Zach Ray scored on the second play from scrimmage, juking before busting in from four yards out.
Angel Reyes' PAT was true, giving Forrest a 7-0 lead that would double to 14-0 in just over two minutes time on a Brooks Lamb to Ray 32-yard TD strike.
Community would try to make a game of it when Viking quarterback Quinn Frost hooked up with Zack James on a 66-yard bomb, down to the FHS 2-yard line.
Jose Villanueva ran the ball into the endzone from there and Frost added the extra point, making it a 21-7 ballgame with 4:07 remaining in the first quarter.
Any hope of a Community rally was put to rest in the second quarter as the Rockets scored twenty more points to the Vikes' zilch and led 41-7 at the half.
The first touchdown in the period was a Lamb 17-yard scamper, followed five minutes later on a Ray four-yard paydirt run, and finally with 5:08 still to tick on the first half clock, Lamb scored on an 11-yard keeper.
In the second half, Forrest head coach Kyle Stacey went to his reserves for some valuable game experience and freshman Dontay Baugh took advantage of his time on the field when he scored on a 19-yard touchdown run at the 6:37 point of the third period to make it 48-13.
Earlier in the quarter, Frost tossed a 25-yard TD pass to James.
In the fourth quarter, Frost would throw two more touchdown passes and would end up 17-32 on the night, racking up 376 yards.
Forrest put up some huge numbers in the rushing game (354 total yards) with Ray leading the way with 98 yards, Baugh was next with 89, followed by Lamb with 70, Richie Smith finished with 39 yards, Jacob Daughrity ran for 39, Chance Hargrove had 20, Zach McClendon rushed for 8, and Cody Taylor rounded out the ground game with 3 yards.
Lamb only had to throw the ball five times and he completed three of those passes for 49 yards.
Triston Newman was behind center for much of the second half and completed one pass for 17 yards.
Ray, Paten Pruitt, Smith, and Brandon Anderson all had one catch apiece.
On defense, Forrest stuffed the run, giving up fourteen negative yards on the ground to the Unionville squad.
The Rockets (2-1, 1-0) take on White House Heritage (2-1, 1-0) Friday night in a Homecoming match-up at the "Rock" in Chapel Hill.
