Discovery gymnasts kick-off 2011 season

The Columbia based school's compulsory teams are required to perform a routine composed for their level by USGA (United States Gymnastics Association) on floor, bars, beam and vault.

At the beginning of the year, the gymnasts begin working on the skills required for the routines and spend several hours a week in the gym perfecting the routines for competition.

This year the team will travel to seven meets, including Murfreesboro, Gallatin, Sevierville, and Nashville, as well as Huntsville Alabama.

There will be 18 girls competing for Discovery in levels 3 through 6.

Listed below you will find the gymnast and her level of competition for 2011

Level 3: Grace Adams, Alexia McKennon, Carmen McMillan, Inca Nicholson, Cassie Sutton, and Mackenzie Whitmire.

Level 4: Anna Burcham, Kortney Cognevich, Grace Philpott, Bayleigh Tosh, and Jillian White.

Level 5: Trinity Isabell, Kylee Konig, and Jasmine Littrell

Level 6: Allie Avent, Ellen Ballard, Kerri Gentry, and Karah Kelley.
