Harold James "Jim" Dickerson, 76, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at home.

Mr. Dickerson had been a Lewisburg resident since 2005. Prior to that, he was a lifelong resident of Southern California, having been born in Redondo Beach, Calif. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lewisburg. He was a retired electrician. Jim Dickerson was a big man with a heart to match. His love for his wife, Flo, was evident to everyone. He loved his family, his friends, his church, and above all, his Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone who knew him saw the love of Christ in him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Flo Dickerson; two daughters, Teri Fann of Brentwood and Roxanne Dickerson of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons, Randy Dickerson of Long Beach, Calif., James Dickerson of Temecula, Calif., and Todd Whitley of Seattle, Wash.; a brother, Ed Dickerson, of Tacoma, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Chris Conro of Brentwood, Kimberli Conro of Brentwood, Nicole Dickerson of Temecula, Calif., Corie Dickerson of Long Beach, Calif., and Haley Dickerson of Long Beach, Calif.

A Celebration of Life Potluck Dinner will be held at the First Assembly of God Church, 1191 West Ellington Parkway, at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23.

Mrs. Dickerson wishes to send heartfelt thanks to her neighbors and church family who helped her during Mr. Dickerson's illness and afterwards. A special, loving thanks to their neighbor, Jim Flipovich, who made life so much easier for them and who they referred to as their "adopted son."
