Successful fundraiser held for March of Dimes

Wednesday, October 26, 2011

Over $2,600 was raised for the March of Dimes at the 4th Annual Kids Fair hosted by Marshall County Chiropractic at the National Guard Armory on Saturday, Sept. 17.

With so many activities at one event, it's easy to see why the fair was such a success.

Along with many donated items for a large silent auction, there was also a bounce house, miniature donkeys and goats for everyone to pet, and many games for all the kids to enjoy.

Air Evac landed a helicopter on site, and the Lewisburg Fire Department donated their time to come out to participate at the event as well. There were many booths set up for adults and children to enjoy. Snowbird from Channel 4 and Tasty the Pig from Lawlers made guest appearances. There were drawings for door prizes and plenty of good food at the concession stand run by volunteers.

Marshall County Chiropractic hosts this event every year as a fundraiser for the March of Dimes, but it wouldn't be possible without the volunteers who donate their time, money and merchandise to make it a success.

It isn't too early to sign up to be a vendor or a volunteer for next year's event. Please call Ann at Marshall County Chiropractic - the number is 359-5687.
