Memorial services for Terry David Jackson, 65, of Fayetteville will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, at Higgins Funeral Home. Mr. Jackson passed away Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, in Donalson Care Center.
He was a native of Indiana, son of the late Dale Lomax Sr. and Ruth Smartt Jackson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Vietnam, and a member of the American Legion. Mr. Jackson was a roofing salesman for Central State Roofing in Lewisburg, a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #1792 and a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Spray Jackson of Fayetteville; daughter Mindy Mathis and husband Bryan of Morocco, IN, son Scott Jackson in Morocco, IN, brother Dale Lomax, Jr of Lake Village, Ind.; sister, Laurie Berry of Fowler, Ind.; brother-in-law, Russ Spray of Fayetteville; mother-in-law, Laurine Spray of Fayetteville; Amy Spray Anderson of Franklin; six grandchildren, Cody Jackson, Gabriel Jackson, Hannah Mathis, Sarah Mathis, Katie Mathis, and John Mathis.
He was preceded in death by stepfather, Lawrence Jackson; stepmon, Maxine Lomax; son, Billy Jackson; and sister, Karen Gibson.
Visitation with the family will be conducted Sunday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Elks National Foundation or Lincoln County Health Foundation.
