Christmas help for families in need

Wednesday, December 7, 2011

New Life Family Tabernacle has joined forces with Cash Express to help needy families in Marshall County this Christmas.

This is the seventh year that Cash Express has sponsored a toy and coat drive.

A FedEx trailer has been placed in the parking lot of the Tabernacle, 591 Fox Lane, where donated items will be stored until distribution day, Thursday, Dec. 22.

Acceptable items for donation are: new or like-new toys, coats, washable shoes, and non-perishable food items. They must be received by Thursday, Dec. 15.

Donated items can be dropped off at New Life Family Tabernacle every Wednesday from noon to 6 p.m. They can also be left at any one of 13 participating local businesses.

If you know a family that is in need this Christmas, we would love to help. Applications can be picked up at Cash Express, 1145 Nashville Highway, or at the church on Wednesdays. You can also visit the church Web site www.newlifefamilytabernacle.com.

In addition to Cash Express, the participating businesses are: The Video Store, Rafael's, Funtime Bowling, Security Finance, Southern Physical Therapy, Lewisburg Fire Department, Senior Citizens Center/Veterans Office, Napa, Little Tykes, First National Bank, Eastside Cleaners, and S & D.
