James L. Fowler, 74, of Lewisburg, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Fowler was a native of Marshall County, and son of the late Otis and Knoxie Cochran Fowler. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of the First Assembly of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nina Fowler; grandson, Corey Endsley; sister, Virginia Donald; and brother, Harold "Mo" Fowler.
He is survived by his second wife, Joyce Fowler of Lewisburg; two daughters, Terri Fowler of Lewisburg and Kaye (Charles) Endsley of Lewisburg; two sons, David James (Sharon) Fowler of Cornersville and Will Sinclair (Donna) Fowler of Fayetteville; two stepsons, Robbie (Cathy) Talley of Lewisburg and Richie (Leanne) Talley of Mt. Juliet; stepdaughter, Reene Talley of Thompson's Station; six sisters, Evelyn (Joe) Wright and Peggy Beard both of Lewisburg, Edwina (Edward) Terry of Cornersville, June Welch of Cornersville, Faye (Larry) Dyer of Petersburg, and Mary Ruth Pruitt of Chapel Hill; three brothers, Ezell (Tootie) Fowler and Cordell (Faye) Fowler both of Cornersville, Sidney (Tootsie) Fowler of Kentucky; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, from the chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Fowler Cemetery with military honors.
The family will be at Cornersville Funeral Home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour for visitation.
