F.R. "Roosevelt" Leverette, 77, of Unionville, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, following an extended illness.
A native of Bedford County, Mr. Leverette was a son of the late Thomas Elroy Leverette and Delia Carlton Leverette. He was a retired construction worker and a member of Ray's Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Roosevelt was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Leverette, who died in 2010; three sisters, Wilma Leverette; Myrtle Sherrod and Margie Griffy; and four brothers, James, Mitchell, Dorris and Doyle Leverette.
Surviving are two daughters, Trisha Follis of Shelbyville and Brenda Kimmins of the Longview Community; a brother, Marvin Leverette of Chapel Hill; and three grandchildren, Lacie Follis Yeckle of Shelbyville, and Will Kimmins and Emily Kimmins of the Longview Community.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial will follow at Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community.
