Ange Merrill King Vanhooser, 82, of Cornersville, died on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at her home.
A native of Marshall County and daughter of the late Guy Rives and Willie Emma Moore King, Mrs. Vanhooser was born on Jan. 3, 1929. She was an accomplished businesswoman and partner with her son Kevin in the family dairy farm. She was also an active community volunteer and a dedicated member of the Cornersville Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vanhooser was preceded in death by her husband, R.W. Vanhooser Jr.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald (Joanne) King of Brentwood and Cornell (Charlotte) King of Cornersville.
She was the mother of five loving children, Angela (Edwin) Brown of Cornersville, Cynthia V. Rudnick of Hot Springs, Va., Keith (Lana) Vanhooser of Fayetteville, Cassandra M. Vanhooser of Cornersville, and Kevin (Susan) Vanhooser, also of Cornersville. She had 11 grandchildren, Audrey (Mike) Woodward, Timothy Brown, Holly (Lonny) Drayton, and Lindy (Tyrus) King, Amber Douglas, Tate, Sarah, and Bailey Davis, and Bethany, Will, and Guy Vanhooser; five great-grandchildren; and many devoted family members and friends.
Visitation started Thursday and will continue Friday, Dec. 23, from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Cornersville Church of Christ.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at the Cornersville Church of Christ, with burial following in New Hope Cemetery at Ostella.
