Raymond Wilson Long, 94, of Nashville, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, in the Veterans Administration Hospital.
A native of Ohio, Mr. Long served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Ivy Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
Preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise Roberts Long, he is survived by five daughters, Faye Darks, Brenda Vasser, Linda Johnson, Betty White, and Kathy Davis, and one son, Dennis Ray Long, all of Nashville; 16 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 21, at London Funeral Home, followed by burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
London Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
