Ricky Powell Milburn, 66, of Manchester, passed away at Baptist Hospital on Sunday evening, Jan. 22, 2012.

Mr. Milburn was born in Manchester on Dec. 13, 1945, the son of the late Cecil Clay and Lillian Maude Anderson Milburn. He graduated from Manchester Central High School and Tennessee Tech, with a degree in industrial technology. After taking advanced ROTC, he entered the Army Corps of Engineers as second lieutenant. Upon leaving the military, he was employed as the parts manager for A & G Equipment in Manchester, and was also a member of the Coffee County School Board for over 30 years. He was an elder at the Pocahantas Church of Christ. He was an umpire for the men's and girls' softball for many years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Milburn was preceded in death by two uncles, S.P. "Pete" Anderson and Sagely Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Peterson Milburn of Manchester; two children, Stephanie (Scott) Vaughn and Richard Clay Milburn; two grandchildren, Aaron Douglas Vaughn and Lillian Joy Vaughn; two brothers, Terry (Margaret) Milburn and Steve (Judy) Milburn; one sister, Diane (Marty) Blanchette; two uncles, Austin (Wilma) Anderson and Phillip (Venita) Anderson; one aunt, Margaret Anderson; cousins, S.P. (Cindy) Anderson Jr., Freda Kay (Bobby) Jones, Tommy (Laura) Anderson, Patsy (Dallas) Manning, Marilyn (Jodi) Taylor, Chris (Penny) Anderson, Dan (Kelly) Anderson, Shelby (Zach) Slone, Jeff Anderson, Mitchell (Renee) Anderson, and Hilda (Jerry) Tunstill; nieces, Hayley (Mike) Osborne, Lani (Joe) Betke, Sonia (D.J.) Garrett, and Carolyn Milburn; nephews, Chip (Holli) Robison and Mason (Erin) Milburn; and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Milburn will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Manchester Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Bush and Bro. David Haley officiating. Burial will follow in the Welker Cemetery.
