Herbert Cunningham, 59, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 21, 2012, at his residence.
Mr. Cunningham was born in Rutherford County and was the owner/operator of Herbert's Transmission Service in the Rover Community. He was a member of Old Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cunningham was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Eugene and Annie Pauline Cunningham, and by two sisters and one brother.
Mr. Cunningham is survived by his wife, Bonnie Cunningham of Rover; sons, Kelly (Kacey) Cunningham of Christiana and Chauncey Cunningham (Krista Parker) of Rover; daughter, Dody McMillian of Manchester; brothers, Paul Eugene Cunningham of Shelbyville, Donald "Duck" Cunningham of Centerville, Calvin Cunningham of the Midland Community, Dorris Wayne "Kinky" Cunningham of Shelbyville, and Kenneth Cunningham of Roswell, Ga.; sisters, Dorothy Cunningham of Murfreesboro and Georgia Wisdom of Smyrna; and grandchildren, Weston Vaughter, Daniel Vaughter, Jessica Cunningham, Katlyn Hutchins, Haley Cunningham, and Levi Parker.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Leathers and Rev. Scott Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
Kelly Cunningham, Chauncey Cunningham, Paul Cunningham, Donald Cunningham, Calvin Cunningham, Wayne Cunningham, and Kenneth Cunningham will serve as active pallbearers.
