A Lewisburg man who escaped jail for a weekend is back in custody, and will appear in General Sessions court next week.

On Friday afternoon, Feb. 17, Jason Brian Hargrove, 29, walked away from the Solid Waste department where he was on work release, according to a report on file at the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.

Another inmate told Detective Tony Nichols that "Jason had been talking about running, but he did not think he would go through with it." A diligent search was carried out without success. Another inmate tried to contact Hargrove by phone to get him to come back, but was also unsuccessful.

Tuesday, Feb. 21, the U.S. Marshals Service in Huntsville, Ala. contacted Nichols with some information about Hargrove's location.

Nichols and Detective Capt. Bob Johnson went to Lincoln County, where they met deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department and members of the Marshals Service. The group went to a home in southeast Lincoln county where Hargrove "was located and taken into custody," according to Nichol's report.
