Harvell Edward Davis, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday evening, March 1, 2012, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville
A native of Shelbyville, Mr. Davis was son of the late Willie B. Davis and Margaret Lucille Lawwell Davis, who survives. He was retired from the Bedford County Highway Department after 30-plus years of service and was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church.
Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Korley Davis.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 44 years, Clara Mae Liggett Davis; children, Jimmy Sanders and Donald (Becky) Davis; grandchildren, Jade Segroves, Samantha Sanders, Zachary Sanders, Kaitlin Davis, and Khloe Davis; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Rose Carkuff, and Presten Thompson; siblings; Billy Davis, Brenda Holder, and Milton Davis of Shelbyville, Danny Ray Davis of Unionville, Eulis Davis, Maurice Davis, and Margaret Polk of Lewisburg, and Randy Davis of Halls Mill. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Davis were held Sunday March 4, at Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Brother Doug Dezotell and Stanley Smotherman officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
