Willie was a native of Perry County, a member of the Baptist faith, and a concrete finisher at David Robinson Construction. Willie had a love for life and a passion for people. His courage helped him as he battled the final illness that eventually took his life. But through it all he enjoyed being around his children and grandchildren, and the rest of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward Lee "Pete" Peebles, Robert Lynn Peebles, and Donald Ray Peebles.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Barbara Boyett Peebles of Lewisburg; three daughters, April Peebles, Crystal (Lorenzo) Lopez and Maryann (Chavelo) Flores; five sisters, Judy Medlin and Lucy Haley, both of Illinois, Jane (Charles) Mayberry of Tennessee, Shirley (Corey) Rosian and Brenda (Bob) Pulliam, all of Alabama; six brothers, David (Glenda) Peebles of Illinois, James (Carolyn) Peebles of Tennessee, Jim (Sandy) Peebles of Illinois, Dennis Peebles and Wesley Peebles, both of Arizona, a sister-in-law Dorothy ''Dot'' Peebles; and nine grandchildren: Carlos and Hannah Beltran, Anthony and Yasmin Chavez, Lorenzo and Khristian Lopez, and Eva, Nathan, and Abraham Flores.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 7, in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
