Evie Lee Holden Phifer, 84, of the Laws Hill Community of Marshall County, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Lewisburg.
Mrs. Phifer was born in Bedford County and was a daughter of the late Rollie Amos and Fronie Edna Cannon Holden. Mrs. Phifer was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Warren Phifer; sister, Rebecca Logan; and brothers, Wesley Holden and James L. Holden.
Mrs. Phifer is survived by her husband, Junior Phifer of Laws Hill; sons, Mark Phifer of Laws Hill, Wendell (Molly) Phifer of Chapel Hill, and Darrell Lewis Phifer of Laws Hill; sisters, Christine Ratcliff of Cornersville; Emma Dean Lindsey of Alabama, and Meunice (Walter) Sharp of Ft. Valley, Va.; and grandchildren, Colton Phifer and Derrick Phifer of Laws Hill.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 12, from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Chatman officiating. Burial followed in Hopper Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
Robert Hopkins, J.W. Nickens, Eddie Hunter, Neeley Hopkins, Timmy Ashworth, Ronnie Ashworth, Bill Phifer and Roger Phifer served as pallbearers.
