James Ernest Johnson, 60, of Lewisburg, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012, in Lewisburg. Mr. Johnson was born in Buffalo, N.Y., and was a former machinist. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Columbia.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Johnson, and by a sister, Sheila Baln.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, Louise Margaret Meyer Johnson of Lewisburg; children, Phillip Dana Johnson of Lockport, N.Y., James William Johnson of Lewisburg, Elizabeth Margaret Johnson Mahmood of Lackawanna, N.Y., Dawn Marie Johnson of Anniston, Ala., Robert Paul Johnson of Lewisburg, Dorothy Faith Johnson Lowe of Chapel Hill, Anton Paul Johnson of Lewisburg, Michael John Johnson of Mobile, Ala., and Nicole Ann Johnson of Columbia, TN; mother, Faith Joyce Kumm Johnson of Bradenton, Fla.; sisters, Darcy Johnson of Bradenton, Fla., Kathy Kristy of Lockport, N.Y.; brothers, Darrin Johnson of Denver, Colo. and Edward Johnson of Bradenton, Fla.; and 16 grandchildren, including Tameka Abdula and Emily Johnson, who live with Mr. and Mrs. Johnson.
Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. and again from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Lawrence Funeral Home.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Funeral Home.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, at St. John Catholic Church in Lewisburg.
Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.
