James Morgan Porterfield, 81, of Pulaski, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Hillside Hospital.

He was born on April 26, 1930, in Lewisburg. He was a member of the Pulaski Holiness Church and a veteran of the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Blankenship Porterfield; his parents, Elbert and Annie Mae Pigg Porterfield; his sister, Ruth Luna Melba; and his sons, Lyndell Derrick and James Michael Porterfield.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandra Gail Sisk and husband Michael of Delrose, Janice Marie Holt and husband Manson of Pulaski, and Joanie Teresa Holt of Pulaski; daughter-in-law, Kay Porterfield of Ardmore; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Service was Sunday, April 15, at the Pulaski Holiness Church with Bro. Don Hornbuckle officiating. Burial followed in Short Cemetery in Marshall County.
