Columbia State Community College's Lewisburg Campus will host its 16th annual James R. Moon Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 7, at Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg, Tennessee. The tournament, played as a four-person scramble, will begin with registration and lunch at noon and a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The entry fee includes cart, green fees, range, individual prizes, team prizes, goodie bag, snacks, lunch and beverages. Participants can also purchase "mulligans," "red tees," and enter the putting contest at registration the day of the event.

This golf classic honors the late James R. Moon, businessman, industrialist, educator, golf enthusiast and an outstanding citizen of Marshall County. The purpose of the golf classic is to provide a source of funds for those individuals who attend Columbia State's Lewisburg Campus. Funds raised over the last 15 years have supported over 125 student scholarships.

Team spots and tee sponsorships are still available, contact Elizabeth McDow at 359-0351 or mcdow@columbiastate.edu or Beth Duffield at 931-540-2554 or bduffield@columbiastate.edu. The deadline for entries is Friday, June 1.
