Marion D. Scott Williams, 80, of Shelbyville, passed Thursday morning, April 19, 2012, at Glen Oaks Health and Rehabilitation Center after an extended illness.
A native of Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Howard W. Scott and Sue C. Smartt. She was a homemaker, beautician and shop owner, and was a member of the People's Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Williams, and brother, Hubert T. "Bud" Scott.
She is survived by her sons, Barton (Rachel) Williams and Steve Swain, all of Shelbyville; stepson, Joe Williams of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Kyle, Zack and Jena Swain, Jamie Brookshire, Bethany Hamlett, and Kris Williams; three great-grandchildren; niece, Susan Adams; and nephew, J. W. Scott.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 23, from the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Pastor Drew Haynes officiating. Burial followed in Willow Mount Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Glen Oaks Nursing Home, or the Senior Citizens Center.
